Diversity in Faculty Searches: As part of SJSU’s commitment to diversifying the faculty, the 2017-2018 faculty searches will integrate diversity training earlier into the process.

Faculty Diversity on Campus: The Office of Faculty Affairs is responsible for the recruitment of a diverse faculty. In addition, the office takes the lead in supporting initiatives that help to retain faculty and prepare them for a successful tenure and promotion review.
Staff Council:The San Jose State University Staff Council is dedicated to promoting staff interests to the University Administration, implementing programs and resources in the areas of professional development, wellness, appreciation and recognition. SJSU Staff council encourages staff campus engagement, promotes a positive staff culture and actively participates in University affairs in achieving its stated goals.

Office for Equal Opportunity: Facilitates the university's diversity efforts, investigates and resolves complaints of discrimination and harassment, provides training and consultation, and ensures adherence to compliance requirements.

University Ombudsperson: Advocate for procedural fairness who supports the integrity of campus policies and procedures. The ombudsperson provides a neutral, confidential and informal place to discuss a concern with the assurance that no action will be taken, without consent.
