The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion leads university-wide efforts to ensure a welcoming, safe climate for every member of the San Jose State community. 

Dr. Kathleen Wong(Lau), chief diversity officer, leads the office, serving as a liaison to community partners and constituents on an array of diversity initiatives. She reports directly to President Mary A. Papazian and serves on the president's cabinet.
